MAXUM Inventory Update: What’s Causing Stock Shortages and How We’ll Fix It
We want to start by saying thank you. Your patience, trust, and support mean everything to us—especially during a time when demand for our equipment has never been higher! We know delays and presales can be frustrating, and we want to address everything openly so you know exactly what’s happening behind the scenes.
Recently, Brian Lee shared this message on behalf of our leadership team:
“We are having difficulty keeping up with demand and have had a few prospective customers question why they need to pay for a preorder that is not scheduled to arrive until late January. One suspected that we take the money first, then outsource the production to a third party. This is not the case as you know. We have our factories pumping out as much as possible at the moment, but the demand is outstripping the supply.”
—Brian Lee
This reflects exactly why we’re sharing this update. To be transparent, clear, and honest with our customers about why some MAXUM products are temporarily out of stock.
Why We’re Experiencing Stock Shortages
The past year has brought unprecedented demand. Many of our most popular items—functional trainers, Smith machines, racks, benches, and dumbbells—are selling out faster than we can restock them.
To be clear:
- We do not take pre-order funds and outsource production afterward.
- Our factories are already producing equipment at full capacity.
- Inventory often sells out before the next shipment arrives.
We understand how confusing or concerning this can be, which is why transparency is crucial. We know you’re trusting us with your home gym investment, and we take that seriously.
To Our Customers: We’ll Stay True to Fair Prices
MAXUM Fitness family-owned business, and it means a lot to see our equipment recognized as some of the best on the market—at any price point!
We’ve always treated customers the way we’d want to be treated, and that includes being honest about demand. Some items, like the X3, are available for presale with early February delivery simply because they keep selling out. While we could raise prices based on demand, that’s not how we do business. We’re committed to offering high-quality products at fair, honest pricing.
What We’re Doing to Catch Up
We’ve put a long-term operational plan into motion to fix this at the root. Our goals include:
- Expanding production and shipment volumes so we can maintain a consistent one-month inventory
- Increasing factory output to match growing demand
- Looking at improved production scheduling across our core equipment
- Securing larger inventory volumes per shipment
These changes take time, but they’re already in progress. Our team is committed to reducing presale windows and getting products back in stock more consistently.
Our Vision Remains: “One Gym to Rule Them All”
Our slogan isn’t just marketing, it’s the mission behind every design we create. We want to provide home gym owners with equipment that replaces commercial memberships, multiple machines, and unnecessary upgrades.
