We have the Maxum X2 Functional Trainer Power Rack and it has been excellent! The articulating functional trainer arms are a great touch to get either a further out or more centered range of motion, than what would be normally possible. The height being 80” is also perfect to fit in small spaces like basements or under garage rails!

The part of this power rack that we have some troubles with would be all the attachments it comes with. Ultimately it’s a great start without spending even more money on such products, but they aren’t the greatest quality, and we will likely slowly replace some for this reason. The set of strap handles that came with this product had good functionality with two different length hooks to clip, but the plastic ends broke off within the first month of use. Maxum customer service was phenomenal and sent us a new upgraded handle which definitely seems stronger but doesn’t have the feature of having two different length clips to hook. I think this could be improved greatly if the handles were metal and knurled, but we understand that this would cost significantly more to produce.

We use the strap safety arms and not the safety straps due to the safety straps having to stay on the rack, and this limiting the height that the functional trainers can go. Upgrading the safety straps to be able to come on and off the rack or at least the one side would be an improvement.

We also decided not to put the weight horns on the weight stacks for now, because we did discover that the plates on the horns would hit our plates being stored on the weight horns on the back uprights. That being said, we do love the functionality of being able to add our own weight and we will probably add these back soon, once we find another way to store our extra bumper plates.

Overall for the price we are extremely happy with this purchase and all that you get for it to start our home gym! We are excited to see what Maxum comes out with next! Fingers crossed for some individual rack parts to build the rack out to the side, in order to provide some off rack storage like weight plate shelves and more rack accessories!

I have owned my Maxum S92 for almost 3 years now, and I am just as happy with my purchase now as I was then! This machine has been used daily by my kids, neighbors, friends, and myself, and everyone loves it! I have had absolutely no issues with it. The quality is incredible, and the price was even better! Thank you for keeping a bunch of us fit and strong. If assembly is holding you back from purchasing a Maxum strength machine, don't let it. It took my son and I an hour to build it, with no issues.

I’m excited to use my F220 Pro kit. The price is unbeatable & the service to delivery was great. I’m giving 5 stars.

But to give an honest review of your instructions, they are horrendous. Even the picture-instructions have huge jumps.

The illustrated drawings are the worst. The transpositions are misleading & wrong, the alpha-numeric system doesn’t line up with any of the labels on the wrapped parts, the inventory list itself labels things wrong like both wheel-brackets are “left lower brackets”.

Its very easy to make mistakes & I’m glad I trained my childhood on meccano, lego, & knex, or I’d be crying right now. I think you seriously need to hire someone to revamp them, I know someone who does this for a living, contact me if you’d like to work together

I've had the SX2 for three weeks, and I can honestly say, this gym is an absolute beast. I've owned different multi-gyms for the past 20 years. The quality, smooth cable function and amount of extra accessories that come with this machine is unparalleled. Heading downstairs to my gym is no longer something I should, or need to do, but has turned into something I want to do. 25+ years as a professional firefighter/Advanced Care Paramedic requires dedication to physical fitness and being able to get the job done....I can say without hesitation this gym from Maxum Fitness more than fits my needs.

Ordered the F-220 Pro Functional trainer. Fast delivery! Really happy with it, everything I was looking for in a home gym. The plate stack was a huge deciding factor for me, easily switch between weights, tons of exercise options. It took my wife and I 4 hours to assemble, instructions could be better; but we managed. Very pleased with our garage home gym!

Maxum fitness sells only high quality goods at very reasonable prices for the quality you're getting. Additional, they are prompt to ship and respond to questions. They also seem to be great designers and have designed their own add-on weights for the Snode AD80s which allow for resting the AD80s on your knees, and have also designed the SX2 with its adjustable position cable arms (wide and adjustable enough to perform ideal cable flies) which is better than anything currently on the market. Very impressive Canadian small business and hope to see them succeed on their merits and introduce more innovative home gym products! Would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to create a high quality home gym!

Absolutely top quality product, best piece of exercise equipment I've ever owned. But, worst assembly instructions ever. They do give you a manual that has pictures, obviously due to the inadequacy of the original instructions, but the photos are terrible and not detailed near enough. I figured it out on my own, it wasn't rocket science, but it would be nice to have this addressed as the product itself is fantastic

After speaking with them via telephone, I placed an online order which included a note with questions. Within a couple of hours I received a response and from that point forward, I received regular communication providing updates. The equipment was delivered ahead of schedule and in perfect condition. Assembly was relatively easy, particularly with the supplemental instructions that were also received. The quality of the equipment is superb! Hello, the shipment was within the 5 to 7 business days even though it was from British Columbia to Ontario.
The equipment was in its own wooden creat. Everything was well packed and protected.
The frame is very sturdy and heavy it takes two people to assemble the maine frame. The rest you can do on your own. The instructions come in the box or print online and are self-explanatory. Although I did need some clarification on some things. Their email assistance is very easy to use and they were very helpful to reply. Replied within the same day period. I was impressed with their reply time.
Once set up, you can see that it is sturdy and operates very smoothly.
I was impressed and happy about my purchase. It comes with two side 220 lbs stack weights. The rear stack is separate, but I bought it with my purchase. It came with rope, two strap handles, lat bar, straight bar, jhooks, keen raise deep attachment, spotter arm. On the stack, weights clean off the front face of the weight plates so the stickers will stick and won't peel off.
Once again, I am very impressed and happy with my purchase and assistance from Maxum Fitness.

This home gym is everything I wanted, and it fit in my 7’2” basement! It is very sturdy and doesn’t shake when in use. I only wish they had wall Mount options to buy, which is why I made my own. Would recommend to anyone who wants an all-encompassing home gym.

MAXUM S-150 est un très bon entraîneur. Je l'utilise quotidiennement depuis neuf mois. Aucun problème. C'est un gym complet au sous-sol. Je le recommande fortement.

I love my new Smith machine - I just got the S-92 and couldn't be happier.

I love this thing. A major level up in home workouts. The only space I had for it is in my basement with really low ceilings. I really appreciate the design of this thing and that it fits in my room. Most others on the market wouldn't fit for sure. It arrived with a defective cable, but the support from the company was top notch - I sent an email on a Sunday and later that evening someone gotten back to me and a new cable was shipped the next morning. It arrived within a day or two! Fantastic service - despite the broken part. The only actual complaint I could make is that the assembly instructions leave a little bit to be desired. There were definitely a few head scratching moments. But those small gripes aside, I couldn't be happier and I know I'll be using this thing a lot and for years to come.

Bought the s150 trainer. Great product. Easy assembly with builders. Fits perfectly in basement gym. I looked at a lot of options and this one offered the best bang for buck and height for my 7 ft basement ceiling. Been using it for a few weeks and already getting much stronger. Quite satisfied.
Also like that they have a 5% discount for essential workers (teachers, firefighters and police). Classy touch.

Everything came nicely wrapped. Definitely need a 2nd person to. Move everything inside.
Equipment is solid and feels like commercial grade equipement.

After researching Rogue, Rep and Force USA I came across the Maxum SX2. There are not many reviews but the features and build appeared to be on par, if not better, than these companies. I pulled the plug and ordered the machine hoping for the best. The crate arrived earlier than I expected as I live in Northern Ontario. The shipping was not completely free but from my experience the company took a bit of a loss to get it to me. Thank you very much. I picked the crate and got it to my house where I unpacked the items. Everything was extremely heavy and well constructed. Its a commercial machine even though its not marketed as such. Putting the machine together was a task in itself. As others have said the instructions are not perfect but adequate. I put the machine together by myself and each piece that I added to it was built way beyond the specifications you would normally associate with a home gym. One surprise was the ,quality of the accessories that are included. Had I went with the other aforementioned fitness companies I would have paid a lot extra. I have had several work outs with this equipment so far and it has been incredibly rewarding to have a machine like this. My former machine was a Tuff Stuff cage and there is no comparison. I love the articulating arms with the pulleys. They are a true game changer. One of the reasons that I chose this machine was the added benefit of adding plates to the stacks. Thanks very much to Maxum for making this machine. I would have had to pay double what I did had I purchased from Rogue or Force USA or Rep.

I ordered over $9,000 worth of equipment to build my home gym. Everything came very well packaged and was higher quality than expected. When I'm ready to expand by gym, Maxum Fitness will be my first go to.

Perfect for the home gym!!!

Ordered the F-220. This rack is a great value for what you get. Sturdy well constructed aluminum pullies. Lots of attachments great selection to Get anyone started. Shipping was fast from the warehouse and to my door. Haven't had to contact for customer services as of yet. Assembly took 4 hours it's really straightforward once you read the instructions from the email and use the ones in the crate as a guide. Loving the variety it adds to my daily workout. It's well built and sturdy. Piece of mind knowing it's a quality rack. 10 out of 10 in my books.

Good communication and machine works great. Had some issues after putting it together and some damaged pieces due to shipping but they are sending replacement parts and gave me a future discount. Only thing i wasnt impressed with was the leg press attachment has to be bolted on and then taken off for every use. Not efficient. Not an easy thing. They need to come up with a better and quicker attachment for it. Will buy the bench with leg extension/curl attachment next.

I recently purchased Snode AD80 dumbbells. MAXUM Fitness was superb to deal with. Customer service was responsive, timely, and helpful with my questions. Would highly recommend and would order from them again.

I purchased the SX2 smith combo unit. This thing is a beast. High quality materials were used, packaging was impressive. This unit does it all. 3 machines in 1, rack, functional trainer, smith machine.plus storage for weights. Lots of variety in training with this piece. The extended cable arms are a game changer also. Highly recommend this for the home. Just make sure you have the height for it. Once in place you aren’t moving it.

I bought the full S-150 setup with bench, floor mats, leg extension and preacher curl attachment. It gets used almost everyday between 2 teenage boys and my wife (sporadically me) and we love it. We had a problem with the leg extension attachment a couple weeks ago and within a day we got the new upgraded attachment sent to us, free of charge. 5 star service and 5 star product

The S-150 gym
After a month of good use I’m ready to give this gym an honest review. This thing is solid damn near commercial grade. The dual 220lbs weight stacks and plate loaded lat pull down/low row glide like butter. Smith machine is also nice and smooth. Most of the attachments are excellent other then the foot plate attachment for the smith machine you can’t seem to get it tight enough so that it won’t pivot on the bar I had the u bolts tight enough that they gouged the bar but still wouldn’t hold it in place. Building is simple I was able to do it alone in a few hours all bolts were placed in proper holes from factory so you can’t mix anything up. Seems to be the best price from what I’ve seen while shopping around. I also purchased a 7’ Olympic bar and standard weight plates from them as well that go nicely with this. All in all I give this a 10/10 it doesn’t disappoint and is a game changer for home workouts

I recently purchased a Snode GR auto-adjusting Spin Bike. Based on reviews of other similar bikes in this price range, it looked like good value. I now have had it for almost one month, and I am very pleased with it. It provides all the features I was looking for, including variable resistance and bluetooth connectivity with my device. I really like that it self generates power, so no need to plug it in. I highly recommend it.

Purhcased the S-150. I spent a lot of time going back and forth on which machine to buy. Bob was very helpful and answered all of my questions. I also purchased the flooring from Maxum, really is commerical grade gym flooring - can't go wrong.

Great experience, ordered a set of Snode's and found a small cosmetic issue with one of the handles - MAXUM Fitness was quick to reach out to Snode to resolve the issue and replaced the problem item with 0 hassle.
