We ordered several large pieces of equipment from Maxum and when they arrived everything was packaged well, but we were missing an item. With a quick email to customer service I received a very fast response with no hassle at all and my replacement part was on its way. It arrived quickly and in perfect condition. Sometimes a piece of hardware or item might be missing or damaged but it makes a huge difference to know you're buying from a company that will make it right quickly and without making it difficult - that's exactly what we got with Maxum and that's just one more reason that we'll be purchasing from them again in the future - thanks Maxum!!

I ordered 17 boxes of "Premium EZ Rubber Gym Mat – Grey".

Keep in mind that this is a 3/4" premium rubber tile with 70% speckled finish. Seriously, stall mat prices have gone up significantly. The price per sq. ft. is almost comparable, I get a more professional look, installation uses clips at multiple points to interlock each tile and the quality is superior. I thoroughly researched rubber flooring and I dare you to find anything similar at this price point "delivered" right to your home. Shipping was incredibly fast and stress free.

Solid rack, I am not disappointed!

I picked up the Snode AD80 Adjustable Dumbbells – Pair (10–80 lb) with Magnetic Weights & Stand Set from MAXUM FITNESS, and overall, I’m seriously impressed.
The dumbbells themselves are rock solid. The adjustment system is smooth and feels durable — no rattling, no cheap plastic feel. Going from lighter accessory work to heavy presses is quick and efficient, and having 10–80 lbs in one compact setup keeps my space clean and organized.
Now about the magnetic add-on plates — they’re a great idea and genuinely useful for those in-between weight jumps. They stick firmly and feel secure once attached. That said, swapping them on and off can be a bit of a hassle. And quick tip: watch your fingers when lining them up… get them caught in between and, well… “ouch.” 😅 But once they’re on, they’re solid and don’t feel loose or sketchy at all.
As for MAXUM FITNESS, great experience. Shipping was actually free (as advertised), everything arrived in excellent condition, and communication was smooth.
And here’s my favorite part — their phone number works. Like, an actual human answers. Not a robot. Not 14 menu options. A real person. In this day and age? That alone deserves applause.

Visited to look at gym flooring. Staff was helpful and provided all the information we needed.

I did tons of research before buying and I'm glad I did because I made the right decision. This rack is extremely solid and buttery smooth and as far as home gym equipment goes it's by far the closest I've ever used to commercial equipment. I had a couple of build questions and was able to get an English speaking human on the phone very quickly each time, a human who gave me great customer service and clear explanations for everything I wanted to know. I couldn't be happier!

From the very start Maxum Fitness customer service has been top notch. I started looking at their home gyms 2 years ago and they answered all of my questions in a timely and courteous manner. When I finally decided to order the X2, Maxum went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that I was completely satisfied. Once I set up the X2 I was blown away by the quality and functionality. I love my X2 and always look forward to working out on it. If you're on the fence about purchasing from Maxum , just do it and you won't regret it. 5 stars all day!

Bought the f-220 from Bob couple years ago. Use it as a commercial trainer in my gym. Has never failed us! I’m upgrading , and going back to Bob.

MAXUM Fitness X1 Functional Trainer with XSA Smith

Build quality
Very high. No manufacturing defects that I can find. Frame and weight stacks were aligned correctly out of the box. No rust, burrs, bent parts, or damaged welds. Every component was individually wrapped and arrived without shipping damage. Once assembled, everything looks clean and intentional. All connectors fit properly in the rack holes. Based on build quality alone, I have a hard time seeing where REP or Rogue would justify a meaningful price increase.

Utility
Extremely flexible machine. The articulating arms and included adapters make this far more than a basic functional trainer. The only real limit is creativity. Included cable handles are better than expected and more than sufficient for a home gym user. My unit has 26 mm holes, so compatibility with true 1” aftermarket accessories should be straightforward. There are newer arms coming with 1:1 ratio and vertical articulation, but I do not expect to upgrade, as I would rather not partially disassemble the rack.

Customer service
This is clearly a small operation. Staff are friendly and helpful, but communication is casual and sometimes blunt. During my order there were some growing pains that affected shipping, and updates could have been more proactive. In hindsight it’s clear they were addressing issues, but I did have to follow up to stay informed.

Setup and storage
Assembly is straightforward but realistically requires two people. Instructions are provided as a manual plus supplemental photo guides; merging these would improve clarity. I missed one minor step and had to backtrack, but nothing serious. Expect a lot of packaging. Nearly every part is individually wrapped, roughly 35 pieces, so bring large trash bags. Storage for accessories is left to the user. I added pegboard for handles and am likely adding a spare 3×3 upright to organize the remaining adapters.

Overall
Excellent hardware and value. If you are comfortable working with a smaller company and don’t need white-glove communication, the product itself is very strong.

Really easy to build a workout with this multi function Maxum SX2, -workouts flow. From body builder style workouts to core training, HIITS, supersets this SX2 makes it a flawless transition switching back and forth! Highly recommend!

Very durable and high quality materials. Their smith machines come with all the attachments you’ll need for a home gym. Not much compares at their prices.

Bought a Maxum Fitness Trainer 220 Pro due to my shorter basement ceilings. Great supporting a Canadian business. Delivery was timely and machine was as expected. They also offered a 12 month interest free plan to sweeten the deal as most US companies wont offer it unless delivery to the US and a US credit card.

Great piece of equipment, even better for the price. Putting the squat rack (F220 pro) is a bit complicated, but you'll figure it out. Would highly recommend Maxum if you're building a home gym.

Purchased a Maxum X3. Great customer service and seamless transaction. This unit is a beast! Amazing piece of equipment.

I picked up the Snode AD80 Adjustable Dumbbells (10–80 lb) and the whole process was easy. Ordering online was straightforward, and they arrived on time in four separate packages. The dumbbells work exactly the way they should, and after shopping around, Maxum Fitness had the best price once shipping was included.

The only small thing I noticed is the number stickers on one dumbbell are placed on the opposite side compared to the other. Another con is that the weight jumps are in 10-lb intervals, so you might want to grab the magnetic weight add-ons if you prefer smaller increases. Overall, still a solid set and a good buying experience.

Part 2
A Must-Have Upgrade for Snode AD80 Dumbbells

Maxum’s customer service is bar none. I called to order the MAXUM 2.5 lb magnetic weights after purchasing the Snode AD80 adjustable dumbbells, and the whole process was smooth and easy. These are exactly what you need if you own the Snode AD80 adjustable dumbbells.

The Snode dumbbells are great, but the biggest downside is the 10-lb weight jumps. The MAXUM magnetic plates fix that by letting you make smaller, more precise changes, which makes the set way more usable.

Snode does sell add-on weights, but the design just isn’t as practical or user-friendly as the Maxum ones.

I am pleasantly surprised by the quality of the product. The S‑92 is a complete and solid device, definitely of commercial-grade quality. I’m very happy with my purchase and I will enjoy it for many years to come.

They very well managed my pre-order and it even arrived earlier than expected!
I really like the F-220 Pro. I has many features that I was looking for:
-Pretty low so I can do pullups even in my basement
-Functional trainer built in the rack
-Weight stack + possibility to add plates
-Multiple attachements included
-Aluminium pulleys
-Really cheap compared to the competition, but very well made
Overall, very happy and I totally recommend!

Customer service has been extremely prompt. I have had a couple questions about the shipping procedure and status of my smith machine. I have not waited more then 24 hours for a detailed response. I have not received the product yet but will write a follow up after i receive it. I am sure with my first impressions of the company that will be great as well!

Purchased a X2 squat rack, ab5 bench, and chrome barbell. The squat rack is really well built, high quality, heavy duty, functional, and practical. The only hiccup is my X2 were missing two crucial pieces so I haven't been able to finish assembling the cables and weight stack. When I contacted Maxum about this I received a response within 24 hours and was told the pieces would be ordered from the factory and delivered to me in about 2 weeks. Once I receive those missing pieces and complete building my rack I will follow up with an update and pictures.

The bench and barbell are both very high quality and heavy duty. Very happy with my purchase.

I bought the Maxum X1 with the XSA Smith Machine Attachment. I have been using it for about 1 month and love it.

I visited Maxum fitness facility yesterday and I had Wonderful experience. Staff member was very knowledgeable and courteous. Facility was clean and above all products are Solid, robust and affordable.

Ordered the S-92 rack and some weights. Had no issues with the ordering or shipping process.

Very happy with both the Maxum F-220 and the EZ Rubber Flooring.

The rubber flooring is excellent: premium, thick, dense, and interlocks tightly. I deadlift and drop weights confidently with no damage or movement.

The F-220 rack is solid and well-equipped with lots of attachments. Only small gripe was the plastic sleeves on the cable pulley adjustments coming off occasionally. Customer service responded quickly and the fix (a bit of lubricant) solved it completely.

Overall, great quality on both products and good support.

Incredible smith machine !
I have been on the lookout for a power rack for over 1 year and finally came to buy the S-150 from Maxum. I've searched for the low and high ends of similar products and nothing compares to the versatility and solidity of the S-150. Usually, you have to buy all the attachments one by one except a few pricey models, but this one comes with all the goodies. I bought a curved bar and olympic bar to complete this amazing set. The framing is really solid, made of 12 gauge steel... it doesn't bulge at all and there is no need to bolt it to the ground. Building it has been really easy. Way easier than a lego set, let me tell you. Excellent quality for the price and an amazing time saver. No more driving to the gym. Highly recommend !!!

I had a great experience with Maxum fitness. I ordered the S-92 smith machine all in one trainer, the quality and all the accessories included exceeded my expectations. Customer service was also great when I needed their help with some installation issues. Highly recommended

I purchased the Maxum X3. If you’re in the market for a commercial grade functional trainer at home then this is the best option on the market by far. I have done a lot of research and The closest competitors from other brands are significantly more expensive. Even when only factoring quality of the product the maxum X3 stands out with very well thought out features, a ton of attachments and a rock solid build quality I would be comfortable putting in a commercial setting.

What I love:
- 3x3” 11 gauge steel construction which feels like will last a life time
- extremely competitive pricing for this grade of quality.
- ton of attachments
- smooth pulleys , arms and smith machine
- articulating arms give full range of motion on most movements and provide a lot of flexibility
- weight horns so you never out grow the machine

I purchased S-150 and LOVE LOVE LOVE it. It’s a great machine, and customer service patiently answered all my questions as I decide which to buy 👍

I cannot be happier purchasing the X1 Functional Trainer. I've had this rack for a month now and I'm very pleased with the build quality and the smooth cable travel. The welds, the powder coating precision cut one in holes, this rack is comparable to the other big brands in the industry but you don't have to shell out twice the price. Bob and the rest of the staff have been great answering any questions I had before I purchased the rack. Customer service is amazing and they stand by their product. This rack is commercial gym quality if not better. I will be buying attachments like the Smith machine and jammer arms and any other products the company creates in the future. Thank you Maxum Fitness team for making a great Canadian product!

Recently visited Maxum’s store to check out their machines and explore the different variations. I was lucky enough to meet the owner and creator of Maxum—really genuine, down-to-earth guy. I got to see several of their Smith machines along with some new prototypes he’s working on, and it’s clear he’s constantly striving to make his equipment better and better.

The build quality of the Smith machine was outstanding, which convinced me to place an order for the X3, a bench and a leg attachment. I’ll post an update once it arrives and I’ve had a chance to put it to use. Really looking forward to it! Thanks again to the Maxum team. Might be back for his leg extension machine.

Amazing customer service, had issues with my bank adding onto our order after purchasing and was able to call and deal with a human over the phone was great! Fast shipping, easy website to shop around and great quality products for the price! Was nervous buying a whole set up but Maxum Fitness not disappoint! Love the flag that came as a surprise with the order too! Definitely will continue to check back for attachments for our bench and machine and more weight plates in the future!

I bought the X1 Functional Trainer. It is a great height for my 7 foot 3 inch basement ceiling. The build quality is excellent for the price point and the best value I could find. The articulating arms make this product stand out from many similar offerings. Additionally, the articulating arms move smoothly up and down. Weight stacks are smooth and quiet. Pulleys seem to be good quality. Comes with loads of attachments to be able to do a wide range of exercises. Customer service was also solid. Very happy.

I purchased a S-150 smith machine from Maxum Fitness back in 2023, the quality of the machine is exellent, it came with alot of extra pieces and the price was decent compared to others. I recently purchaced the optional rear weight,stack and it is awsome, so easy to change the weight now esp when doing drop sets.
Ordering on Maxums site was easy and customer service was great, I will definatly be purchasing more equipment from Maxum Fitness again and would highly recommend.

Picked up an X2 a few months ago, very happy with it - stopped into the shop a few times to see things and test them out. Customer service has been great with any questions or issues.

I received my X3 machine today. Delivery was fast and assembly was straightforward. I managed to put it together on my own in 4 hours. The product feels solid, and the pulleys run very smoothly. I’m very satisfied.
