Recently visited Maxum’s store to check out their machines and explore the different variations. I was lucky enough to meet the owner and creator of Maxum—really genuine, down-to-earth guy. I got to see several of their Smith machines along with some new prototypes he’s working on, and it’s clear he’s constantly striving to make his equipment better and better.

The build quality of the Smith machine was outstanding, which convinced me to place an order for the X3, a bench and a leg attachment. I’ll post an update once it arrives and I’ve had a chance to put it to use. Really looking forward to it! Thanks again to the Maxum team. Might be back for his leg extension machine.

Amazing customer service, had issues with my bank adding onto our order after purchasing and was able to call and deal with a human over the phone was great! Fast shipping, easy website to shop around and great quality products for the price! Was nervous buying a whole set up but Maxum Fitness not disappoint! Love the flag that came as a surprise with the order too! Definitely will continue to check back for attachments for our bench and machine and more weight plates in the future!

I bought the X1 Functional Trainer. It is a great height for my 7 foot 3 inch basement ceiling. The build quality is excellent for the price point and the best value I could find. The articulating arms make this product stand out from many similar offerings. Additionally, the articulating arms move smoothly up and down. Weight stacks are smooth and quiet. Pulleys seem to be good quality. Comes with loads of attachments to be able to do a wide range of exercises. Customer service was also solid. Very happy.

I purchased a S-150 smith machine from Maxum Fitness back in 2023, the quality of the machine is exellent, it came with alot of extra pieces and the price was decent compared to others. I recently purchaced the optional rear weight,stack and it is awsome, so easy to change the weight now esp when doing drop sets.
Ordering on Maxums site was easy and customer service was great, I will definatly be purchasing more equipment from Maxum Fitness again and would highly recommend.

Quand j'ai ouvert la boite, je me suis dit que ça allait être difficile à monter. Finalement, c'était vraiment plus simple que je croyais! C,est long mais très straight forward et les indications fournis par Maxum en plus on été très utiles. Je suis vraiment stupéfait par la qualité du produit. En plus, ça a été livré extrêmement rapidement. Merci beaucoup!

I bought an X1 from Maxum, and have been impressed with the whole transaction. I had some questions initially and the were answered to my satisfaction promptly. After I placed my order, they shipped it promptly, and it arrived faster than I expected. The X1 itself has been great, and I am very happy with my purchase.

Picked up an X2 a few months ago, very happy with it - stopped into the shop a few times to see things and test them out. Customer service has been great with any questions or issues.

I received my X3 machine today. Delivery was fast and assembly was straightforward. I managed to put it together on my own in 4 hours. The product feels solid, and the pulleys run very smoothly. I’m very satisfied.

My maxum sx2 as surpass my expectations, this machine is absolutely well built, sturdy and the operation is so smooth. The articulated arms are great, but if not careful when lowering them it will it the bottom pulleys. If you put a safety pin in the bottom holes problem solve. That is the only bad point about it but easily fixed. The assembly is straight forward and doing it by myself took me around 5 hours. It is heavy so I would recommend two people. As you can see from the pictures the machine is extremely well packed and arrived quickly, actually sooner than expected. I was missing the pads for the leg holder and after contacting maxum they made sure nothing else was missing and sent the pads. They had none in stock so they gave me the ones for their floor model. I look at a lot of machine in stores and got a chance to try multiple models but I got this one without trying as the others didn't fell right. Glad I did this machine is awesome and if you are looking for one this is the way to go. The price is right and the machine is smooth and heavy duty. I highly recommend. Also customer service is awesome.

Order arrived quickly and intact. Great dumbbells. Solid and sturdy. Magnetic add ons are great too. Makes a nice flat end to rest on your knees. Very happy with product and supplier.

This machine is awesome. The instructions could use some improvements, but all said and done it’s been great to have in the home gym. I assembled/carried it downstairs by myself but I would definitely recommend having a friend help

Purchased the Maxum X1 Cross Trainer Squat Rack. I made the decision to go with X1 for my garage gym because of its specs and value. With the steel posts being 11 gauge and 3" x 3" with 1" holes, this is as heavy duty as power cages come in the home gym market and the machine is compatible with many attachments from other brands. Purchasing a similar machine from Rep Fitness or Rogue would cost me twice as much, so choosing Maxum X1 was a no brainer. The X1 also comes with many attachments and various cable handles and bars, so this also saved me several hundred dollars from not having to buy them separately. Other features that I like about the X1 include the smooth pulleys and cables and the aesthetics of the stainless steel uprights at the front.

The only things I wish were better were the manuals. Two manuals are provided -- one of computer graphic drawing and one of actual photos. A few installation steps were mentioned in one but not in the other, so had to repeat a few installation steps (also I had a close call with the weight stacks, so make sure you insert the two guiding rods in FIRST). Otherwise the installation was intuitive overall and the steps are easy to understand.

If I had more space at home, I would have gone with the X2 as it only cost a few hundred dollars more, but I am very happy with the X1.

bought the leg extension / hami curl machine. to date, I've only bought rogue and rep equipment. that said, I was looking around and this unit caught my eye. typically I look for equipment with as little nuts and bolts as possible and instead more welds of the structural steel. this makes is more "beefy" and stable. I delt directly with the owner who was awesome to deal with. he sold me the floor model cheap, upgraded my plastic cable wheels to aluminum at no charge, and threw in a free safety squat bar. although it is manufactured overseas, I was very impressed with the quality. Infact, I would put their equipment at a higher quality level than bells of steal. I would recommend to the average home gym owner, coming from a long time home gym guy myself. the benches didn't look to the quality of a rogue or rep, but the functional trainers and my leg machine 100% align with rogue and rep quality.

I purchased the S-150 from Maxum Fitness a couple of months ago and waited to see how it goes before writing a review.
The equipment is truly commercial grade. The aluminum pulleys work as smooth as butter and the attachments that come with it cover all necessary exercises. I mostly bought this because of the leg press attachment which a feared would not be good but it is smooth allowing me to go heavy without compressing my spine.

The team behind it all are the ones that deserve all the credit! Their knowledge, patience and quick responses to all kinds of questions and requests is why any future gym purchases will be done here! Thank you Lizzy!

Works great, looks great, feels great, customer service was very accommodating and on top of that it’s a Canadian brand. I bought the maxum x1 with a couple bars and the steel plates. I like the way the steel plates clang. Having the home gym makes work outs more frequent, more convenient, no more waiting for equipment. It went together pretty easy. I would recommend getting a half inch impact gun to fasten the bolts. The construction of this thing is heavy duty . It’s bad ass

Great product. I bought it because I wanted "tornado arms" on my squat rack/functional trainer to be able to combine the weight stacks and to do cable crossover style exercises. I looked at a few different companies but chose Maxum because they included most of the attachments/accessories i wanted, being 3x3 11 gauge steel with one inch holes i could use many other accessories, were based in canada with free shipping, had a good price point and it was on sale.

Assembly was easy, and it does not budge when I use it. It allowed me to save space by getting rid of several pieces of equipment.

Great all in one for a home gym. Has everything the wife and I need for a great workout.

Bought the Maximum S-150 and very happy with my purchase. Works well with lots of options and attachments. Feels very sturdy and safe. 3D printed custom sized wall mounts for all attachments to keep organized. Looks pretty nice!

Ordered the F220 pro, when I called to place the order the staff was very helpful and made the process seamless. The gym arrived right on time and the delivery went perfect.

Got the machine just over 2 weeks ago. Came packaged very nicely. Setting it up took about 6 hours but overall it was quite explanatory. We did have to call customer service for something and they were prompt in answering and helping us. We also had issues with 1 part and they were prompt in replying to our email and troubleshooting, as well as sending us a replacement part quickly. The machine fits in our 7' ceiling basement perfectly. It has everything you need and the cables are smooth. This is exactly what we were ooking for and it's been great to have!

Très heureux d’avoir acheté la Smith Machine S-92. Sa hauteur convient parfaitement à mon sous-sol. Elle est très polyvalente et bien construite en plus d’avoir beaucoup d’accessoires inclut. Pour l’assemblage, la compagnie achemine des photos par courriel avec des indications qui sont complémentaires au manuel d’instruction. J’ai aussi acheté un tapis qui est un gros plus. Super qualité.
